Birman & Ride is a boutique city-based law firm.
Together with our in-house software and website professionals, we are using and continuously developing:
- ContactsLaw - sophisticated practice management software; and
- an integrated and interactive website, used to promote and (in certain areas) deliver legal services.
We are commiitted to using information technology to:
- replace traditional time costed legal services with a wide range of well-defined fixed price products across the practice;
- streamline and improve our systems for document and matter management;
- improve the quality and speed of delivery of our services;
- empower team members at all levels to take charge of specific areas of our business and delivery of legal services; and
- market our services and measure the results.
We have a busy family law practice with a focus on property matters.
We need an imaginative and effective lawyer to join our tight-knit professional team.
We are prepared to make an appointment at any level. We welcome candidates with experience in family law. Candidates without family law experience willing to learn the tools of trade are also encouraged to apply.
An experienced appointee would be expected to manage the firm's family law practice, with an appropriate level of supervision, and work with the partners to expand and improve the firm's systems, services and client base in this area. An appointee with less experience will be apprenticed to experienced family lawyer Michael Hodgkins.
Although you will practise primarily as a family lawyer, you will need a degree of flexibility consistent with our changing operational requirements.
Preference will be given to applicants who meet our selection criteria.
